LO2 - Risk Assessment (P3)

During my production stage of filming my idents, I will need to be able to identify the risks so that I am aware of the possible issues before an incident occurs. Some risks I have identified for both idents are the following:

Locations

Hazards

Risk Rating

Controls

All locations

Slipping over the equipment. Due to the

equipment being big

me and my team

need to be careful

so that no injuries can occur.

Medium - This is because its not a massive risk but not a small risk.

Know where the equipment is and tell the team so that we won’t slip over the equipment.

All locations

Battery may die. If

the camera is not

charged it can

cause problems when

I am filming my idents.

Medium - This is because its not a massive risk but not a small risk.

Ensuring that the battery is charged the night before, so it is at full capacity.

London

Someone can steal equipment. When not looking, someone can steal equipment in London.

High - This is because London is the central hub for tourists and businesses.

Keep equipment close or carry it in a bag to reduce the chance of it being stolen.

London

May get hit by a car. As London is a congested area there is a lot of traffic. I need to be careful when I am filming my idents.

Medium - This is because its not a massive risk but not a small risk.

Look both ways before crossing. Be cautious when walking around London.

Park

Bad weather conditions. Sometimes the weather is unpredictable. This means that if not checked, equipment can get damaged.

Medium - This is because its not a massive risk but not a small risk.

Check the weather the night before. This will allow me to make changes if required.

School

Actors may not be available as they can be ill.

Low - This will be unlikely as the actors are quite healthy

Call the actors the day before to ensure that they are able to still film. If not then get backup ones ready before.
